STANDARD I Demonstrate Understanding of the Development and Construction of the MBTI® Instrument
Certified practitioners explain development of the MBTI Instrument and construction issues relevant to interpreting the MBTI Instrument.
STANDARD II Apply their Understanding of Research Methods and Tests and Measurements Concepts
Certified practitioners include research findings in their interpretation of type and interpret relevant research activity.
STANDARD III Articulate Type Theory
Certified practitioners articulate and teach the concepts of psychological type theory.
STANDARD IV Explain Type Dynamics and Development Concepts
Certified practitioners articulate and teach concepts of type dynamics and development.
STANDARD V Communicate and Model the Constructive Use of Type Differences
Certified practitioners define, describe and interpret psychological type and MBTI results without bias.
STANDARD VI Administer, Score, Return Results, and Interpret the MBTI Instrument According to Guidelines
Certified practitioners follow published guidelines, policies and procedures for administration, scoring, returning results, and interpretation of the MBTI Instrument.
STANDARD VII Apply MBTI Ethical Guidelines Consistently
Certified practitioners demonstrate commitment to professional ethical guidelines.
STANDARD VIII Engage in Ongoing Professional Development to Enhance Use of Type
Certified practitioners participate in professional development activities related to the use of type and are required to document ongoing learning through the certification process.
